The “Taste of Gaslamp” event offers a unique opportunity to sample appetizers from over 20 participating restaurants in San Diego’s Gaslamp Quarter.

Returning for its 28th edition on September 14, Taste of Gaslamp is a self-guided culinary tour through downtown San Diego. Attendees will enjoy signature bites from popular spots like American Junkie, Baja Rock’s Cantina, and Gaslamp Tavern, among others.

How Does Taste of Gaslamp 2024 Work?

Spanning 16 blocks of the city, the 28th annual Taste of Gaslamp invites food enthusiasts to discover the vibrant culinary scene of San Diego’s historic district. With more than 20 local restaurants participating, there’s something to satisfy every palate.

Described by organizers as “a delicious journey,” this event has become a staple for both locals and visitors. Highlights include gourmet tastings, handcrafted cocktails, specialty drinks, and an exclusive post-event party.

Once registered, participants are free to visit any of the participating restaurants at their own pace, choosing the dishes that best suit their tastes.

Ticket Options for Taste of Gaslamp 2024

There are two ticket options for this year’s event: General Admission at $45 (plus tax) and VIP Admission at $70 (plus tax). Both options include appetizers from over 20 participating restaurants.

The VIP ticket offers additional perks, including access to five exclusive bites not available to General Admission holders.

Taste of Gaslamp will take place on Saturday, September 14, from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM, followed by a post-event party featuring complimentary drinks and snacks at Happy Does, located at 340 5th Ave, San Diego, CA 92101.
