Grupo Firme was guest of honor of ‘Los Angeles Dodgers’ at Mexican Heritage Night

On the afternoon of May 7th at Dodgers Stadium, the Los Angeles Dodgers invited Grupo Firme to throw the first pitch of the second game.

The showdown between the Los Angeles Dodgers and the Miami Marlins in the 2024 Major League Baseball (MLB) season took on a special tone when the Los Angeles team extended a unique invitation to Grupo Firme to kick off the second game.

On Tuesday, May 7th, Dodgers Stadium transformed into a spectacle of green, white, and red, emblems of the national flag, in honor of Mexican Heritage Night.

Through their social media platforms, the Dodgers shared an exciting video capturing the band members walking through the stadium corridors and sharing moments with the enthusiastic crowd. Eduin Caz had the privilege of throwing the first pitch before the start of the game, marking the beginning of an evening full of excitement and celebration.

Eduin, visibly moved by the experience, expressed his enthusiasm for being part of such a significant event, although he admitted not being a fervent baseball fan.

After their initial participation, the lead vocalist spent time interacting closely with fans, signing jerseys before joining the crowd to enjoy the rest of the game.

Just like Grupo Firme, prominent boxer Seniesa Estrada also received a special invitation to the game. It’s worth noting that Estrada has an emotional connection to the Dodgers, as her mother collaborated with the team for 13 years.

The outcome of the Los Angeles Dodgers game

In that thrilling encounter, Yoshinobu Yamamoto stood out by pitching eight innings, while Max Muncy surprised with a grand slam, leading the Dodgers to a resounding 8-2 victory over the Marlins. In the third and deciding game of the series in Los Angeles, the home team prevailed with a score of 3-1, thanks to an impressive two-run homer by Teoscar Hernández.
