Jose Urquidy has his sights set on being part of the rotation

The Mazatlan native had a challenging 2023 season marred by multiple injuries, which hindered his performances and kept his potential from shining through. In 2024, the pitcher resumed his quest to secure a significant role within the Texan organization.

The Spring Training leading up to the start of this year’s season brought José Urquidy a fresh opportunity to join the star players in the rotation for the Houston Astros.

Urquidy is fully recovered from the injuries he suffered last season, even becoming one of the recurring relievers for Houston during the playoffs—a role he could also play before the start of the official Major League activities in 2024.
