Netflix Theme Park Set to Open in the United States

Netflix Theme Park Set has been confirmed for 2025. The streaming giant announced that Netflix House, a new project that will allow the company to open two huge theme park-like attractions in former department store spaces in Texas and Pennsylvania, will open to the public next year.

Last June 20, Netflix confirmed the opening of its theme park for next year. It will consist of two locations: one in Texas and one in Pennsylvania. These venues will feature interactive experiences, merchandise, and food, all inspired by popular Netflix shows.

Unlike other theme parks like Disneyland or Universal Studios, Netflix House will not have roller coasters or rides. Instead, visitors will be immersed in themed experiences based on Netflix’s most famous titles, promising to surprise and delight. Shops and restaurants inspired by iconic titles like Stranger Things and Bridgerton will be part of the indoor landscape, while stunning sculptures and murals of beloved characters will greet visitors from the outside.

Where Will the Netflix Theme Park Be Located?

These attractions will be set up in former department store spaces at two of the most iconic malls in the United States: King of Prussia Mall near Philadelphia and Galleria Dallas. These pop culture havens will span nearly 100,000 square feet and promise endless adventures for fans of the platform’s most acclaimed series and movies.

Netflix chose these malls not only for their popularity but also for their high foot traffic and proximity to major cities. At a time when shopping malls are struggling to stay relevant against the rise of online shopping, proposals like Netflix House serve as a lifeline, drawing consumers with experiences that can’t be replicated in the digital world. Netflix Theme Park will feature themed shops and activities, all presented as an exhibition for everyone to enjoy an immersive experience in their favorite Netflix series.

At Netflix House, visitors will enjoy immersive experiences that will be periodically refreshed, explore themed shops, and delight in unique foods and beverages inspired by their favorite series and movies. This ambitious project builds on the success of over 50 pop-up events that Netflix has held in 25 cities, and promises to be an evolution of these distinctive offerings,” said Marian Lee, Netflix CMO.

‘Now Popping’: Netflix’s Popcorn Line

Netflix’s foray into the physical world doesn’t stop at its new entertainment-themed venue. For those who prefer to enjoy their favorite series and movies from the comfort of their home, Netflix presents ‘Now Popping,’ a line of ready-to-eat popcorn in collaboration with Popcorn Indiana.

The flavors “Cult Classic Cheddar Kettle” and “Swoonworthy Cinnamon Kettle” are designed to be the perfect companion for your binge-watching sessions. These popcorns are available at Walmart and other retailers.

Priced at $4.49 (4€) for an 8-ounce bag (about 226 grams), these gourmet popcorns offer a premium experience. Netflix described this combination as a movie night with popcorn, as inseparable as a hot dog with its bun, ice cream with chocolate chunks, or a day at the beach with a sun lounger.

The collaboration with Popcorn Indiana is intended for the U.S. market only, so sales in other countries have not been considered. However, we can imagine how these popcorn bags will soon go on sale on platforms such as eBay and the like, with auctions comparable to those already seen with other special edition snacks.
