Andrés Luna: A Promising Future in Baseball

During the signing ceremony, held at the Jalisco Government Palace, Luna expressed his excitement: “First and foremost, I’m incredibly happy. While signing with the Dodgers is a major milestone, Luna’s journey is just beginning. He will start his development in the Minor Leagues in the Dominican Republic, refining his skills before making his way to the United States.

“Scouts watched me play at several academies across Mexico, and that’s how I earned this opportunity. I’ll begin my training in the Dominican Republic and work my way up from there,” Luna explained.

Born in Culiacán and raised in Guadalajara, Andrés Luna has been passionate about baseball since he was three years old. He honed his skills with the Cuervos League in Zapopan, catching the attention of Dodgers scouts through his standout performances in youth tournaments. His talent and dedication led to this incredible opportunity with the Los Angeles organization.

Additionally, Andrés Luna has signed a contract with the Toros de Tijuana in the Mexican Baseball League. This will allow him to gain experience in professional Mexican baseball before making the full transition to the U.S. leagues.

“In the future, I see myself playing with them. My dream is to win a championship ring. After my showcase, I got the call the very next day confirming my signing. I was in shock at first, but then I felt immense happiness,” Luna shared.
