Baja California Sur

Officially called the Estado Libre y Soberano de Baja California Sur, it is one of the thirty-one states that, together with Mexico City, form Mexico. Its capital and most populous city is La Paz, located in the municipality of La Paz. It is located south of the Baja California Peninsula, in the northwest region of the country, bordering to the north with Baja California, to the east with the Gulf of California (Pacific Ocean), and to the south and west with the Pacific Ocean.
