Former President Donald Trump recently posted a doctored image of pop superstar Taylor Swift on his social media, falsely suggesting that she’s endorsing him in the upcoming November elections.

A post from the Republican candidate, Donald Trump, on Truth Social featured the music icon dressed in red, white, and blue with a caption reading, “Taylor Swift wants you to vote for Donald Trump.”

“I accept!” Trump wrote.

Swift has not publicly endorsed any candidate in the 2024 race but has shown support for Democrats in the past. In 2020, the singer backed President Joe Biden and his running mate Kamala Harris. She also criticized Trump in a 2020 documentary.

Trump Used AI to Create Taylor Swift Images

Trump tweeted the AI-generated photo on his platform, Truth Social, this Sunday with the message “I accept,” implying that the singer is asking her fans to vote for him. The fake Taylor Swift appears alongside other images showing young people wearing “Swifties for Trump” T-shirts.

It’s unclear which of these images are genuine and which are also AI-generated. The striking resemblance among the figures in the photos suggests that several were created in sequence. Some images were taken from a satirical post that humorously claimed Swift’s fans were beginning to support Trump.

Representatives for Swift and Trump did not immediately respond to requests for comment.

Recently, the artist encouraged young people to register to vote, leading to a surge in new registrations. This demonstrated that her followers, especially young women, are willing to mobilize politically at the call of their idol.
