Work for FIFA: Job Openings for the 2026 World Cup

FIFA announced the job openings they are offering for the 2026 World Cup, which will have the United States, Mexico, and Canada as host countries

With Mexico being one of the hosts (alongside the United States and Canada) of the next edition of the 2026 World Cup, great opportunities have opened up for all football fans, as FIFA has announced the job openings it will offer in preparation for this event through the LinkedIn platform.

There is a wide variety of positions in locations such as Miami and Mexico City, all of them on-site, and you can already check and even apply for them through the website; although the total number of vacancies is not yet known, there are already several, and it is expected that more will be published in the coming days to complement the existing ones.

What jobs can I work for FIFA during the 2026 World Cup?

Within the country, there are a total of 4 vacant positions for the 2026 World Cup based in Mexico City. Our territory will host a total of 13 matches, a less significant number compared to the United States, who will have the highest number of matches, including the grand final.

The first of the vacancies is for a Public Relations Manager, which is a full-time fixed-term position. The main responsibility will be the implementation of public relations plans, communications, and media relations, supporting the tournament with FIFA’s objectives for the 2026 World Cup.

Among the main requirements, we are looking for someone with a profile of at least 10 years of experience in sports communication who has a deep understanding of the football world, as well as knowledge of the media in Mexico. Additionally, the candidate should have the ability to execute campaigns on social media as the main channel.

In the Workforce, People, and Culture department, we are looking for a Senior Manager of the Volunteer Program, whose purpose will be to lead the country (in conjunction with other executives in these areas) in planning and mobilizing a team of volunteers across Mexico. Being bilingual or fluent in English and Spanish is the most important requirement, in addition to having the ability to manage groups of people and demonstrate understanding of project management techniques and methods.

There is a position for an Executive Director of Stakeholder and Relations Groups, who will be responsible for working together with the FIFA Executive Director of Stakeholder Relations in Mexico for the 2026 World Cup. Their main responsibility will be to establish and strengthen FIFA’s relationships with various levels of government in Mexico, as well as with international organizations, embassies, among others. The main characteristic of this individual is to have more than 10 years of work experience in the public sector or in areas related to politics and government affairs within the corporate and institutional sphere.

Finally, the Senior Manager of Mobility in Transportation will work within the tournament and venue operations, being one of the main responsible parties for managing transportation within the 2026 World Cup, to successfully integrate into the conceptual and operational planning for transportation in the three host cities within Mexico. They are looking for someone with a minimum of 5 years of work experience in event transportation, ideally in football, sports, events, or 3 years of experience as a Transportation Manager, or 3 years in an equivalent or similar managerial position.
