Tijuana will host the first Binational Tianguis Turístico in 2025

Next year, the first Binational Tianguis Turístico will take place in Tijuana, combining border culture with modern infrastructure and natural attractions to promote tourism.

The border city of Tijuana, in the state of Baja California, was chosen as the venue for the first Binational Tianguis Turístico to be held in 2025. This announcement was received with enthusiasm by both Mexican and American authorities, marking a new achievement in tourism promotion between the two countries.

The Tianguis Turístico, considered Mexico’s main tourism fair, will not only bring economic benefits to the region but also promote collaboration between Mexico and the United States in the tourism sector.

More than 10,000 participants are expected, including buyers and exhibitors from both countries, which will generate an estimated economic impact of 1,380 million pesos for the state of Baja California.

Baja California Governor, Marina de Pilar Ávila, highlighted the significance of this event by stating that it will be the first binational edition, where tourist attractions from both Mexico and the state of California, United States, will be promoted.

Preparations for the Binational Tianguis Turístico are already underway

The event will take place at the Baja Center, a modern convention center located in Tijuana, which has all the necessary facilities to host a fair of this magnitude.

Mexico’s Secretary of Tourism, Miguel Torruco, expressed the goal of surpassing the record of buyers from the United States and Canada, the main tourist-emitting markets towards Mexico.

Although the BinationalTianguis Turístico is organized by the next federal administration, preparations have been underway for a year in advance, from the launch of the call for proposals in September of the previous year to the official announcement of the venue on January 15th of this year.
